How do I take care of my neroXII swimskin?
We suggest soaking your neroXII in a chlorine rinse aid or fresh water for 20 to 30 minutes following every use. When finished your suit should not smell of chlorine. Make sure the suit is completely dry before storing. Always keep the suit out of direct sunlight, hot vehicles and car trunks. For best results put the suit on when it’s dry, then warm up and adjust the suit before racing.
What size neroXII should I choose?
Nothing will slow you down more than a poor fitting suit. We spend hours testing our suits fit on real swimmers to find the best possible fit. You will find our size chart below, however, you may fall between two different sizes. You want to wear the tightest suit that you can swim in. There is a compression component to the suits, and this compression is a key factor in reducing a swimmer’s drag. There is a point however at which facilitating an optimal stroke is advantageous to performance. You should never wear a suit that is too small or limits your technique in such a way that performance is compromised.
Nothing makes our design team more upset than someone in a poor fitting suit. There is nothing more frustrating than dedicating 2 years of your life to developing the ultimate swim suit, only to have all those minuscule drag cheating elements ruined by someone putting on the wrong size suit. Whenever possible we strongly recommend getting fitted by a professional sales person.
How long should it take it put on my neroXII?
It can take anywhere from 5-20 minutes. If it takes over 20 minutes you are putting on a suit that is most likely a size too small. If it takes less than one minute to put on your suit then you are in the wrong size.
How many swims should I expect from my neroXII?
A suits life span starts ticking as soon as it’s used in the chlorinated water. The chlorine will eat away at your suit even if you rinse it thoroughly. Also, when the suit is over stretched this can weaken the fabric. That is why proper care and sizing is so important. Following the standard treatment protocol you can help prolong the life of your suit. If taken care of properly we expect suits to last one regular race season.
What do I do if I rip my neroXII?
We stand behind our materials and manufacturing, and every blueseventy product carries a promise of a high quality item. Our welding is industry leading, we don’t use weaker techniques such as edge to edge taping, and our machines are calibrated daily to check for strength and function. We rate our welding strength to 120% that of the fabric tear strength, ie our seams are stronger than the fabric. We only ship our nero suits by air, or in climate controlled containers to reduce exposure to high temperatures, that might limit the seam performance. Our top tips to reduce seam stress on the neroXII are:
- Be careful putting the suit on, or taking it off.
- Ease the suit on, working it gradually up the leg, body and over the shoulders.
- Our policy for repair or replacement under warranty will be dealt with on a case-by-case basis. This does not include damage from misuse.

We are confident that our products will meet and exceed your expectations, but if you find that you are not satisfied, within 30 days we would be happy to accept returns or exchanges on any clean, unused merchandise with swing tags intact. Merchandise not returned in new condition as determined by blueseventy or returned after 30 days will only be eligible for store credit.
