swimming faster and winning: sponsorship news

Sorting through the weekend's race reports it is difficult to decide where to begin our sponsorship recap. Lucy Gossage (GBR) won Ironman Lanzarote, finished the swim 2nd, only to be overtook much later on the run – awesome result and Lucy should have earned her way to be in Kona having finished 2nd in Ironman South Africa earlier in the year and having won Ironman Wales last September. Joel Jameson (GBR) was 4th on the men's side.
Tim Don (GBR)and Radka Vodickova (Czech) captured the final Rev3 Pro purses in Knoxville TN. The swim was led out by a "pack of helix wetsuits" piloted by Kyle Leto, Tim Don, Eric Limkeman, Cam Dye and Kevin Collington - all were awarded the same swim time - all blueseventy sponsored athletes! Eric Limkemann (USA) was awarded the Rev3 Series Title which included last seasons Rev3 Series competition/placings.
At Ironman 70.3 Barcelona Camilla Pedersen (DEN) showed great form winning in 4:36. Hard to digest that Camilla was in a coma after an accident just several months ago - she has come back truly amazing.
In the XTERRA Southeast Championships Emma Garrard (USA) placed 2nd. Emma is up and coming in the Xterra circuit and recently a mother as well!  A terrific hard working athlete we are looking forward to a breakthrough to the top of the podium soon.
Aaron Harris (GBR) was 6th at ITU World Tri Series event in Yokohama, this should earn him selection for England Commonwealth Games team. Adam Bowden (GBR) was 9th –  all four times he’s raced in Yokohama he’s finished in the top ten! Lucy Hall (GBR) led out of the water shoulder to shoulder with Spain’s Caroline Routier.  A GBR age group athlete/ambassador Neil Eddy won British sprint champs at Eton Dorney this weekend as well!  Way to go Neil!
At the Memphis in May Triathlon  Jimmy Seear (AUS) won in post-downpour muddy conditions.  Check out pictures HERE.
Ironman Texas opened up the North American Ironman season.  Matt Russell (Timex Team) finished in 8:14:53,  earning 2nd place.  Chris McDonald (AUS) was 5th.
In pool swimming David Plummer raced at the Charlotte Grand Prix swim meet meet at the weekend, he got 2nd in the 50 & 100 backstroke finals.  Great photo HERE.
