Gossage earns Ironman win and Dye continues domination

A week ago, Lucy Gossage (GB) won Ironman UK with race bests in the swim, bike and run on the day. 

It was a huge win and step atop the podium for Lucy. "I can't believe I've just won IRONMAN UK,” a hugely excited Gossage commented. “I love racing in the UK. I felt so strong throughout the race, apart from the last hour, which was tough, but the crowd pulled me through. Their support was amazing." (from Ironman.com)

Cam Dye (USA), Ben Collins (USA) and Eric Limkemann (USA) - all with race wins under their belts this year, faced off at Rev3 Wisconsin.  Dye proved strongest over swim/bike/run and won the event  (4th Rev3 title in 2013)  with Collins chasing Dye for second place and Limkemann grabbing 5th place. Jennifer Spieldenner(USA) lead out of the water in Wisconsin and hung on for 4th for the day,

Melissa Hauschildt (AUS) is also looking very strong right now as she aims for a 2nd 70.3 worlds title.  At 70.3 Boulder she has improved her swim as she exited the water only 2 mins down on the leaders and then crushed them with a dominating bike and race best run to top Ironman World Champ Leanda Cave(GB) (also one of our athletes) by over 10 minutes.  When her form is on. Melissa is an ace at the 70.3 distance and in a class by herself.  On the men's side, Greg Bennett (USA) 2nd at 70.3 Boulder

Ironman World Champ Pete Jacobs (AUS) continued fine tuning his Kona title defense at 70.3 philippines taking 2nd place.  Pete's health appears to be coming around as he enters his final training blocks for Kona.

David Kahn(USA) was first out of the water at 70.3 Steelhead and held that lead to the finish line to win his first Professional 70.3. Melanie McQuaid was 3rd on the women's side.

Ace swimmer in the ITU, Lucy Hall(GB) was first out of the water side by side with her country mate Natalie Milne at the Tiszaujvaros World Cup event.
