"When I crossed the line, I was just in complete disbelief!"  The 2016 edition of the IRONMAN World Championships packed plenty of excitement and drama highlighted for us by blueseventy athlete Heather Jackson’s 3rd place finish. Jackson, an American professional triathlete based out of Bend, Oregon, was 5th here last year. “I really went out there shooting for top ten, but hoping to defend my 5th place spot, so to improve on that 5th place is surreal. Yesterday’s seventh running of the event was also a winner for blueseventy!   Junior elite triathlete, Sam Dickinson, blasted round the swim as part of the winning relay team, which also smashed the event record. It may have been his longest ever open water swim, but no one would have known with his 48minute swim. The KGF Dream Team, with Ryan Perry, a national champion time...

Challenge Roth, Races, Sponsorship, triathlon -

7:35:39 Let that sink in. It’s fast, right! In fact, it’s the fastest time ever over a full-distance triathlon course. Let us break it down: 45:22 2.4-mile swim, 4:08:07 112-mile bike and a 2:39:18 marathon run. There were a couple transitions in there too. We could give you splits or you could just trust us: they were quick. This day and age it takes a lot to break a world record. It’s something extraordinary to crush it by almost six minutes. That’s exactly what the German superstar Jan Frodeno presented the 15th DATEV Challenge Roth Triathlon with – a sensational world record...
