Lionel Sanders Joins the blueseventy Team
We're very excited to announce a partnership with ITU long distance world champion and IRONMAN champion, Lionel Sanders of Canada. Sanders was second in Kona last year and is one of the most consistent and exciting long-distance athletes in the world. First and foremost, I've tested a lot of wetsuits. A LOT of wetsuits. The blueseventy HELIX tested fastest among all that were tested by me, personally. Additionally, once I got to know the people behind the company and what they stand for, it really resonated well with me and the partnership was very natural. I’m looking forward to a fast...
ETE TriCamps Gear Up For 2018
blueseventy and ETE TriCamps will continue their successful partnership for 2018. Eight elite athletes will benefit from wearing blueseventy wetsuits in training and competition next season, as blueseventy moves towards launching the next generation Helix wetsuit. ETE TriCamps was launched in 2016 and closed a successful crowdfunding campaign this year to bring a unique professional touch to the triathlon training camp market. ETE stands for “Elite Training Experience." The outfit supports a group of high achieving athletes who will race as the ETE Racing Team and to whom blueseventy will provide kit, including the inspirational Gill Fullen, who returned from breast cancer to...
ALL FOR THE SWIM: Katie Kelly
Australian Katie Kelly took home the gold medal at the 2017 ITU Paratriathlon World Championships in Rotterdam last week. The blueseventy supported athlete competes in the PTVI class which is reversed for athletes with total or partial visual impairment. A guide from the same nationality and gender is mandatory throughout the race and they must ride a tandem during the bike segment. In Rotterdam paratriathletes competed in a sprint-distance race of a 750-meter swim, 20-kilometer bike and 5-kilometer run. The victory kept Katie’s impressive winning streak in tact: She first won the world title in Chicago in 2015, followed by...
Don Breaks IRONMAN Record
blueseventy athlete Tim Don set the fastest IRONMAN time ever - 7:40:23 - over the weekend at IRONMAN Brazil. Don put together a stellar 44:16 swim (3.8km), 4:06 bike (180km), and a 2:44:46 marathon run. Don arrived in Florianópolis on a hot streak with wins already this season at IRONMAN 70.3 Campeche in Mexico and 70.3 Liuzhou in China. ALL FOR THE SWIM: Phil Graves
We're proud to announce a new partnership with Phil Graves, the youngest ever IRONMAN winner. Graves, who is known for his phenomenal cycling ability and front pack swim, will take on four IRONMAN events this season, including both British long course events. I’m really grateful of the support from blueseventy, which came about through a chance meeting in the swimming pool at David Lloyd in York. The Helix has always been recognized as a really fast suit and has a great reputation amongst professional athletes. Graves’ won IRONMAN UK back in 2009 when he was just 20. Now 28, he hopes...
